An experience in 4/4 time…
Sound recordings played without interruption in the exhibition space to accompany Susana Fritscher’s work

Susanna Fritscher,Spektren 1–3, 2010. With the support of ZKM – Karlsruhe (GE) Exhibition The least of the world, Frac Lorraine, from october 2011 to january 2012 © Rémi Villaggi
Deeply influenced by Eastern thought, the composers selected to accompany the exhibition The least of the world claim the heritage of the Hindustani raga singer Pandit Pran Nath (1918−1996) or have collaborated with La Monte Young (1935−) who is considered a pioneer of visual and sound environments. Charles Curtis, Jean-Claude Eloy, Morton Feldman, Henry Flynt, Catherine Christer Hennix, and Éliane Radigue ceaselessly pursue continuous sounds and examine the way certain sounds resonate with bodily rhythms and produce a harmonious vibration of the nervous system.
A complete immersion invites the audience to meditate and to open one’s ears to oneself.
