A Lebanese film maker, Maher Abi-Samra goes back to Ramel el Ali, the southern suburb of Bayreuth where he grew up. Inhabited since the 1950s by a Shiite population, this neighborhood was built on the rubble of the civil war and, by the early 1980s, had become one of the strongholds of the Hezbollah. Portraits of two women, activists in the Hezbollah, delve into the personal, social, and political background of their militant engagement.

Exceptionally candid and open-minded, the documentary offers a surprising glance at these veiled activists. Complimentary drinks will be served at the screening, and an informal debate moderated by Ramla Kronfol, will follow the film.
