Practicing the poetics of chance or presenting an abstract choreography of musical writing, these works disturb the usual relation between image and sound in order to immerse us in a state of visual listening. Architectural spaces emptied of a part of their words, Claire Morel’s books seem haunted by speech that needs to be reinvented. They respond to musical scores of Craigie Horsfield: odes characterized by imaginative vocal experimentation. If Benjamin Dufour offers us a sound interpretation of urban space, Su-Mei Tse reveals to us the difficult apprenticeship necessary in all musical practice. Zilvinas Kempinas, on the other hand, invites us, with simple magnetic tape suspended between two breaths, to listen beyond the silence to the poetry of airy music.
